Font del Llop Golf Course
Font del Llop is a par 72 course which offers a great round to any keen golfer in a truly beautiful setting. The course is situated up high in the mountains around Aspe, slightly inland from the city of Elche. Font del Llop has the rolling fairways, water hazards, bunkers and challenging greens to make it a course to remember! The 19th is a stylish, characterful and cosy club house which welcomes you before and after your round.
Ideas for the Non Golfer
- For the shoppers amongst you try the mall at the L’Aljub. If that is not enough shopping, head to the El Corte Ingles department store or Salvador Artesano shoe factory, which is Europe’s largest shoe shop!!
- Visit the city centre and explore all that Elche has to offer, like the archaeological or fiesta museum or the Huerto del Cura with the famous Imperial Palm. You can even climb the bell tower of the main cathedral called the Basilica de Santa Maria.
- Spend some time at the beautiful Sanctuary of Saint Mary Magdalene and the ruins of the Mola Castle above Novelda overlooking the Vinalope Valley.

3 Novelda Sanctuary & Castle

From here: walk around the road up to the sanctuary and remains of the castle then enjoy exploring and the peace and quiet and the views along the Vinalope Valley.
Top tip: If you want to climb up the inside of the castle (at your own risk) then remember to bring a torch!
Places of interest and things to do at the Novelda Sanctuary & Castle
- Sanctuary & Castle: the inside of the church and the castle can only be visited during opening hours, outside of these you can wander around the outside, admire the architecture and views and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. They are open from 10.00-14.00 and 17.00-20.00 during the summer and from 10.00-14.00 and 16.00-19.00 during the winter.
Elche City Centre Car Park

From here: exit the underground car park, the round white building beside the municipal park is the tourist office where you can collect your free city map and the leaflets which guide you on both the Historic Palm Grove and the Monumental walking routes.
