A Day Out Orihuela

Orihuela has one of the largest cultural heritages of any town or city in this area and is an excellent place to visit for a great day out.
The narrow streets of the Centro Historico are packed with beautiful old buildings and there are over six museums to visit and many more important religious buildings to explore. One of the museums is dedicated to Miguel Hernandez, a famous 20th century poet and playwright, who was born in Orihuela. Our walking route around the historical quarter will introduce you to all of this and more, including independent boutique shops, tapas bars, the Tuesday morning market, plazas, and the real Spanish atmosphere which Orihuela has in abundance.
The Ociopia shopping mall is another place to visit with its various high street names like Pull & Bear, Punto Roma, Springfield, Jack & Jones, C & A Kids and Sprinter to name a few. It is just a 10 minute walk from the historical quarter and offers free parking!
