Elche Moors & Christians
The city of Elche is holding its half yearly Moors and Christians Fiesta from the 2nd to the 5th February, in honour of the Patron Saint San Agatangelo. Click on Read More for the main programme.
Saturday 4th February
- 20:00 Procession route: Marqués de Asprillas, Reina Victoria, Plaça de Baix, Corredora, Carrer Ample, la Plaza del Congreso Eucarístico.
Sunday 5th February
- 09:30 Procession route: Passeig Germanies, Antonio Machado, Capitán Antonio Mena, Reina Victoria a Colegio Virgen de la Asunción.
- 12:00 Procession accompanied by a statue of the Patron Saint San Agatangelo route: Iglesia de San Agatángelo, Capitán Antonio Mena, Reina Victoria, Puente Canalejas, Plaça de Baix, Corredera a Plaza de las Flores.
During the festival there will be an exhibition of the posters, photos and various articles in the sala de Exposiciones in the 'Casa de la Tendeta' in the Plaza de la Fruta just inside the arch in the townhall.
