The Dive Academy is owned and run by Damon Rose, he has been a master instructor since 1998. The Academy is based at the beautiful marina in Santa Pola where they have a shop selling all things dive related, offices and boat which the academy uses for taking you out to sea! The Dive Academy is a BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club) training Centre as well as holding a PADI 5 Star status.
There are many different packages available, so it is best to check the Dive Academy's own website for the most up to date information or better still call into the shop at the marina for a chat. The packages, dive sites and experiences have been specially designed and we know that they will be enjoyed by all!
Examples of Packages
If you have never dived before why not try the half day Snorkel Safari, it is a great day out for the whole family! All you need to bring is your swimming costume, towel and smile and we will take care of everything else. You will have a presentation on the marine life you will be seeing and a brief explanation on how to snorkel safely. Then it is into the sea for a fun packed hour or two of Snorkelling around Tabarca island!!
If you want to go out into the deep blue then start with The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience. It is a fantastic way to be introduced to the amazing underwater world which is only accessible on scuba!
For the more ambitious and already qualified there are the Scuba Diver 1 day course, Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Diver and many other Specialist courses and experiences.

From here: exit the car park to the right and walk along beside the boats towards the fishing fleet, the boats for Tabarca depart from here.
Parking tip: parking in the pay car park 1 will be relatively expensive if you are going to the Island for the whole day, so free parking is available on the roads around this area, but spaces can be very hard to find, especially during holiday times.
Top tip: the restaurants on the Island are very expensive, it is best to pack a picnic.

From here: walk along the promenade with the sea on your left and start the walk beside the information board. This walk along the 'rural beaches' takes about 2 hours, you can follow the markers on the dunes or walk along the 'rural beaches'. You'll pass the remains of a salt transporting boat, two civil war shelters, the inlet channel and then ultimately the outlet channel for the salt lagoons, where the walk ends.
Top tip: these 'rural beaches' are excellent for kite surfing, the wind is normally best in the afternoon, so time your walk accordingly!
