Levante beach is one of many places to visit in Benidorm Spain

The Costa Blanca’s tourist capital and the Mediterranean’s equivalent of New York! Like it or dislike it, Benidorm is a must see for everyone, even if it is just so that you can say ‘I’ve been there’! It is one of the easiest places in the world to forget all your troubles, relax and simply do nothing! Over recent years Benidorm has been transformed into a major tourist destination.

  • Benidorm Car Park

    Parking: is in underground car park and is charged for by the length of stay.

    From here: exit the car park and walk back along the same road that you drove along to enter the car park, go straight on at the roundabout with the anchor on it and under the bridge to the Plaza de Hispanidad, then head down to the Levante beach. Once at the beach looking out to sea turn right for the old town, marina and Poniente beach.  

  • Benidorm Centro Comercial La Marina

  • Benidorm Marina

    Parking: this is the coordinate for the marina, parking is in the underground pay car park and is charged for by length of stay.

    From here: exit the car park and walk back along the same road that you drove along to enter the car park, go straight on at the roundabout with the anchor on it and under the bridge to the Plaza de Hispanidad, then head down to the Levante beach. Once at the beach looking out to sea turn right, walk through the old town to the marina.

    Top tip: Excursiones Marítimas offer trips to and from the Island of Tabarca. The prices and timetables vary depending on the time of the year, so check the boards and ask at the information hut or take a look at their website. It is normally 25€ for adults and 16€ for children for the return journey which takes about an hour and a half. 

  • Benidorm Market Large Wednesday & Sunday Morning

    Top tip: parking is very difficult especially during the summer, so you might like to park at the La Marina shopping mall and take a taxi or catch a bus to the beach. 

  • Benidorm Old Town

    From here: from the car park walk back along the same road that you drove along to enter the car park, go straight on at the roundabout with the anchor on it and under the bridge to the Plaza de Hispanidad, then turn right to enter the streets of the old town and head uphill!

  • Benidorm Palace

  • Benidorm Tram Station

    Parking: is in the un-tarmacadam area close to the tram station on the Cv776 and is free, this is the coordinate for the car park.

Villamartin

The plaza is one of many places to visit in and around Villamartin Spain

Villamartin is situated within the Orihuela Costa, just inland from the beaches of Playa Flamenca, La Zenia and Cabo Roig. Villamartin has become a very popular base for holiday homes and people who choose to retire to the Costa Blanca.

Los Alcazares

The unspoilt beach is one of many places to visit in Los Alcazares Murcia Spain

Los Alcazares is situated right on the shores of the Mar Menor. It is very seasonal as it has a resident population of about 12,000 which increases to about 100,000 during the summer!!

  • Golf Delux

    Top tip: Golf Delux is a miniature golf course, the holes have been reduced to a maximum of 100 meters but still contain all the normal hazards like streams and ponds, hills, fences, bunkers and pebbles. Prices including all equipment are 7€ for adults 7€ and 5€ for under 16’s. The centre is open 7 days a week from 10.00am until late.     Top tip: you will find the Hotel Balneario La Encarnacion along the promenade, it is worth stopping here and going through the bar to the characterful courtyard. This hotel was built in 1904 and was used in the filming of ‘The Garden of Eden’ when it was cosmetically transformed into the 1920's French riviera hotel Des Voyageurs.

  • Los Alcazares Town Centre

    Top tip: (info correct for 2011) the boat trip around the Islands of the Mar Menor departs on a Monday & Wednesday at 10.40 & 17.40 and on a Friday & Saturday 10.40, it costs 11€. The trip to the Island Grosa on the other side of the La Manga Strip departs on a Friday at 17.40 only and costs 11€. Both journeys last about 2 hours.

Cabo Roig

The beach is one of many places to visit in Cabo Roig

Cabo Roig is one of several areas within the Orihuela Costa. It has a very popular beach and an interesting coastal path along with a small marina where you\'ll find several cafes, bars and restaurants to sit and enjoy the view from.

The area known as The Strip is packed with bars, cafes and restaurants. It offers lively day and night time entertainment ranging from bands to bingo and quizzes to karaoke.

Torrevieja

The sea front is one of many places to visit in Torrevieja Spain

Torrevieja is a busy, bustling town that has a lively atmosphere all year round, day and night. The two harbours offer a relaxing atmosphere where you can sit back and unwind or take the boat to Tabarca Island. The promenade and 1.6km marina promenade are both excellent places to stretch your legs or burn off the ice cream! There are two major beaches either side of the marinas which get very busy during the summer. The day and night market along the sea front means that there is always something to do and the funfair provides more entertainment during the summer evenings.

  • Torrevieja Boat Trips

    From here: make your way towards the boat warehouses beside the car park and opposite the submarine, the boats to Island of Tabarca depart from here.

    Top tip: The cruise lasts approximately 45 minutes and opperates daily from March to November. There is a notice board beside the boat that displays the most up-to-date time table. Return tickets cost 21€ for adults, 10€ for children aged 5 to 10 years and it is free for children under 5. The restaurants on the Island are very expensive, so it is best to pack a picnic.

    From here: walk from pay car park 2 towards the buildings keeping the sea behind you, after about 300 metres you will reach the street called Ramon Gallud, this is the main high street of Torrevieja with the impressive church and its square to enjoy.

    Top tip: collect a free map from the tourist office, which is on the opposite side of the road to the day and night market where the road bends sharply.

  • Torrevieja Water Park Aquopolis
