Carnival Parade Cartagena of Regional Tourist Interest

The city of Cartagena have released the programme for their Carnival Parade. The parade has been given the prestigious title of being of 'Regional Tourist Interest' so is well worth enjoying! Although the carnival will be celebrated from the 11th to the 21st February, the main act, the procession will take place on Saturday 18th at 18:00. The parade will last about 4 hours in total as the route is just over a kilometre in length.

Start Time: 18:00
Route: Starting from the port follow Calle Mayor, Plaza de San Sebastián, Puerta de Murcia, Carmen, Plaza de España, where it will turn right along Paseo Alfonso XIII to the junction with Juan Fernández finishing in the Pabellón Jiménez de la Espada.

The other acts which form part of the Carnival celebrations in Cartagena include:

  • Election of the Carnival Queens at 17:00 on Saturday 11th February
  • Semi Final and Final of the Chirigotas Competitions on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th February
  • Special acts for the pensioners and the children on Thursday 16th and Sunday 19th February
